Everything plays its role in my practice and teaching, including my identity. As a Filipino American woman raised by immigrant parents, and having lived in multiple states across the United States, I've navigated diverse cultural experiences and socioeconomic challenges. My journey from humble family beginnings to a career in big tech has shaped my understanding of privilege and systems of marginalization.

I find that most spaces I’m in, including mindfulness spaces, are white spaces. In the rare times where I’m in spaces for people of color, I have a different, embodied experience where my nervous system calms and I open up, as if some of my protective layers shed. It has shown me the importance of creating spaces for people of color.

I’m also a mother and I’ve discovered parenthood to be a profound teacher. The challenges and joys of raising a child have deepened my understanding of mindfulness and show me that my life and my relationships are my practice

With over two decades of experience in yoga, mindfulness, and Buddhist studies, I've discovered solace and empowerment in these practices. My passion lies in guiding and reminding people, especially people of color, how to have a deeper connection with themselves and the world. I teach from experience, with love, and through embodiment. I teach because I believe that in this time, awakening happens together.

I work with beginners, and those seeking to deepen or integrate their mindfulness practice into daily life.

Through my classes and workshops, I strive to foster a sense of belonging, compassion, and liberation. I believe that mindfulness is a powerful tool for healing and transformation, especially when practiced in community.

Our bodies guide and follow other bodies; a settled nervous system encourages other nervous systems to settle. This is why a calm settled presence can create room for a multitude of possibilities, and become the foundation for changing the world.
